‘Amazing’ Harry Potter-themed Airbnb leaves fans of films spellbound | Travel News | Travel
A Harry Potter enthusiast has left fans of the franchise spellbound by showcasing an ‘amazing’ Airbnb that is entirely themed around the beloved series.
Devotees of the wizarding world can already immerse themselves in the magic at the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in the US.
But why limit the experience to a day trip when you could be enveloped by the enchanting universe of Harry Potter as you sleep and eat breakfast?
Film, TV and travel influencer Melissa Maddock, known on Instagram as @melmadawg, unveiled how this dream can become a reality as she revealed an ‘amazing’ Harry Potter-themed Airbnb. However, there’s one small catch – you’ll need to journey to Florida in the US to stay there.
The video, posted on Melissa’s Instagram page, begins with her posing outside the Airbnb before venturing inside.
She then reveals a living room which could be from inside Hogwarts castle, complete with iconic items such as the Sword of Gryffindor and the House Cup displayed in a glass cabinet.
Portraits of the characters grace the walls, alongside Hogwarts rules and copies of The Daily Prophet.
Meanwhile, one of the bedrooms features a large image of Dumbledore and even includes your own Pensieve. The bathroom boasts a spacious bath and stained glass windows reminiscent of those seen in the films.
The children’s rooms are adorned with single beds, house flags on the walls, and a toy Scabbers resting on one bed.
And where might this magical Airbnb be located, you wonder? None other than Muggle Manor in Davenport, Florida.
Accommodating up to 10 guests, with four bedrooms, seven beds and three bathrooms on offer, it’s the perfect spot for a sizeable bunch to soak up the Harry Potter vibes. It’s usually at £226 per night, but is currently slashed to a tempting £186 a night.
According says the property, which also has a private pool, is one of the ‘most loved homes’ on the site, getting a rating of 4.96/5 from 49 different reviews.
The excitement is palpable about the Airbnb among Melissa’s followers, with her post garnering more than 667,000 likes. Comments flew in thick and fast with one user declaring: “Ok, this may be the most well done one I’ve seen!” While another chimed in: “I would just volunteer to be the maid so I can live there.”
A third added: “The attention to detail is amazing, now it just needs to be in the middle of a forest and look like Harid’s hut from the outside and it would be beyond!”
