Mohamed Salah slammed for post during Liverpool parade car crash investigation | Football | Sport
Mohaed Salah has been slammed for his post on social media just two hours after a car ploughed through Liverpool fans following the conclusion of their trophy parade. The Egyptian posted a photo of himself kissing the Premier League trophy on the pitch at Anfield.
It was published at 8.24pm, while emergency services were still treating victims of the car incident in Liverpool city centre. It is likely that the winger’s social media team had already scheduled the post in advance, but he still came under fire from fans.
“It’s not the right time, respect the painful incident,” one Reds supporter said.
Another added: “F**k you and your PR team. Put**s”
Another added: “This is why you should never relinquish control of your socials to a soulless media team. Completely inappropriate.”
And a fourth said: “This scheduled post has landed at a bad time. They need to do damage control.”
