Twilight fans issue same plea as mystery update finally confirmed | Films | Entertainment

Twilight enthusiasts have been left thrilled following a significant update from the iconic film series, although it’s not all good news for some cinema-goers.

The popular franchise, based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels, released five films between 2008 and 2012, with Breaking Dawn: Part 2 concluding the series.

More than a decade later, the saga made a mysterious announcement across social media on Wednesday (August 27).

Fans were tantalised with an image of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), accompanied by the words “Forever Begins Again, “The Twilight Saga,” and “This October.”

The post also included the enigmatic caption “Tomorrow,” hinting that more details would be revealed on Thursday (August 28). Now, the mystery has finally been unveiled, reports the Manchester Evening News.

As many fans speculated, the entire Twilight Saga is set to make a comeback in cinemas this October, perfectly timed for the first novel’s 20th anniversary.

On Thursday evening, the franchise shared a trailer featuring clips from each of the five films on Instagram, along with the caption: “All five films. Back in theatres. This October.”

The announcement naturally sent fans into a whirlwind of excitement, with many expressing their joy in the comments section.

One person exclaimed: “Omg I get to see it in theatres for the first time,” while another simply wrote: “Finally.

“Exciting!!! I actually missed out on the first one in theatres,” enthused a third.

However, some sharp-eyed viewers have spotted that the trailer reveals the celebration will be “nationwide,” suggesting the re-release is limited to American cinema-goers.

International fans have been left devastated by this news. Expressing their frustration, one viewer raged: “Why only nationwide??? This should be international thooooooo!!!”

Another added: “NOOO MAKE IT WORLDWIDE PLEASEEEEE,” whilst a third begged: “WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE WORLD?”

Currently, it seems only US-based fans will get to enjoy this massive celebration.

Twilight follows the tale of teenager Bella, who becomes smitten with vampire Edward and gets dragged into the supernatural realm of bloodsuckers and werewolves.

The movie franchise catapulted Pattinson and Stewart, who were establishing themselves in Hollywood at the time, to worldwide stardom.
