Three shot at ICE facility in Texas amid ‘wave of unprecedented violen | World | News

This morning’s shooting marked at least the third instance of an Immigration Customs and Border Protection facility being targeted by gunfire in Texas this year.

In August, 36-year-old Bratton Dean Wilkinson approached a facility and claimed to have a bomb in his backpack,” according to the Department of Homeland Security.

In July, a group of people attacked Prairieland Detention Center near Fort Worth, Texas, in an incident that saw an officer shot in the neck. Officals described it as a “co-ordinated attack,” with more than a dozen people later charged by authorities.

Just days later, a man in tactical gear and armed with a rifle was shot dead by police after opening fire on a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, injuring two officers and a civilian employee.
