Saka makes injury admission

Saka hamstring problem resulted in him missing five fixtures for both club and country. He said after the Wales game: “Obviously, I started the season and picked up an injury, which killed me a bit.”

Saka also acknowledged that he remains below peak sharpness. He could feature again for the Three Lions when they meet Latvia on Tuesday and is expected to start Arsenal‘s upcoming league fixture against Fulham.

He added: “I’m still not at my sharpest. But I’m starting to feel good again and I’ve scored in my last three games, so I’m happy with that and want to continue in that way.”

“We would remind the club of its important role as a community institution and stress that any changes to the stadium layout must ensure no loss of space allocated for general admission ticket prices.”

Mosquera’s title confidence

Young Spanish centre-back Cristhian Mosquera joined the Emirates outfit this summer from Valencia for an initial £13million fee. Having featured sparingly due to the presence of both William Saliba and Gabriel, he has opened up about his early experiences as an Arsenal player, telling AS: “The Premier League is very different, but I’m loving it.

“I’m handling that direct style of play well. Arteta always asks me after matches how tired I am, but I’m feeling very good. I grew up with the La Liga style, but people always told me that my style of play was suitable for the Premier League. I think they were right.”

The 21-year-old also addressed his team’s title chances, adding: “Yes, we have in mind to go for everything. There’s a very good team, and we’re capable.”
