New Look to close one more store in days — full list of affected areas
A number of high-street brands are closing stores this year, including supermarket Marks and Spencer and British retailer New Look. The beloved fashion brand has confirmed the closure of its branch in The Potteries Centre, in Stoke-on-Trent, Hanley.
The store will permanently close on October 14. A spokesperson for New Look said: “We would like to thank all of our colleagues and the local community for their support over the years. We hope customers continue to shop with us at our nearby Stoke-on-Trent Festival Retail Park store, as well as online at newlook.com, where our full product ranges can be found.”
A spokesperson for the shopping centre said: “New Look has been a valued tenant at The Potteries Centre for many years and we are disappointed to see them go. We know many of our visitors will also be saddened by the news,” they told The Sun.
New Look also confirmed the closure of its Hinckley store on December 9. A spokesperson for New Look said: “We would like to thank all of our colleagues and the local community for their support over the years. We hope customers continue to shop with us online, where our full product ranges can be found.”
Shoppers took to social media to share their frustration with one saying: “River Island, H&M, New Look, Game… what next? Not all of us can get to the big retail parks!”
Another one said: “Not a surprise at all. The shop has been half empty with a large clearance area for a while.”
