F1 LIVE: Norris and Hamilton set for Mexican GP duel as driver storms out of interview | F1 | Sport
Lance Stroll quit his media pen duties early at the Mexican Grand Prix, walking out of an interview when he was asked why he had “no answers” for his struggles during race weekends.
According to RacingNews365, the Canadian racer, who missed FP1 due to Jak Crawford’s practice debut, was at a loss when asked to explain his struggles after qualifying 19th.
“Generally, the car goes backwards throughout the weekend, so I am not surprised [to qualify 19th],” he said. “I had no grip. It’s kind of what happens a lot; there’s good grip in the practice, and then you come into qualifying, and there’s just no grip.”
Stroll was then asked why the car continued to go backwards. He replied: “I don’t know. Maybe… I don’t know. I don’t have all the answers, but just generally is.”
Probed as to why he had no answers from the team, Stroll cut in and replied: “No, maybe you should go ask them,” before walking out of the conversation.
