Jannik Sinner addresses rumours he’s engaged to girlfriend who dated F1 star | Tennis | Sport

Jannik Sinner has lifted the lid on his relationship with Laila Hasanovic after it was rumoured the pair were engaged. The young Italian, who beat Carlos Alcaraz to win the ATP Finals over the weekend, has been dating the influencer and model for several months. She has quite the following on social media, with over 350,000 people enjoying her lifestyle and travel content on Instagram.

Talk of a potential romance was fuelled when Hasanovic was spotted watching Sinner at Wimbledon earlier this year. Over the weekend, the Danish influencer set tongues wagging by sharing a picture of a ring on social media. Sinner was quizzed on the cryptic post after beating Alcaraz but insisted that he was yet to pop the question.

Asked if he was involved in buying Hasanovic the ring, he replied: “The ring Laila showed on social media? Did I have a hand in it? No, no.”

Hasanovic previously dated Mick Schumacher, the son of F1 legend Michael, for around three years. The couple eventually went their separate ways, with the former Haas driver removing all pictures of his former flame from his Instagram account.

There were even rumours the pair were engaged at one point, which were later dismissed. Hasanovic was among the few people allowed to visit Michael, who has not been seen in public since his nightmare skiing accident over a decade ago.

Sinner publicly confirmed that he was dating Hasanovic after winning the Vienna Open, notably thanking her in his victory speech. It marked the first time either party had acknowledged the relationship after months of speculation on social media.

Fans began to suspect they were together when Hasanovic was spotted with members of Sinner’s inner circle earlier this year.

At one point, a viral photo seemed to show her as Sinner’s phone wallpaper, intensifying the rumours. Their connection became even clearer when Hasanovic shared travel posts and behind-the-scenes clips that aligned with Sinner’s tournament schedule.

Hasanovic is a well-known figure in European fashion and lifestyle circles. Born in Copenhagen, she has built a substantial following on social media where she documents her modelling work, fashion partnerships and travelling.

Sinner has long maintained a private approach to his off-court relationships, making his public confirmation of their relationship all the more notable.

Earlier this year, he was briefly linked to American model Brooks Nader and previously dated Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya.
