Lloyds closes 15 banks across UK in November – full list of towns | Personal Finance | Finance

This year has seen high street banks shut down branches across UK towns, with the mass closures set to continue into 2026. It comes as a shift in consumer behaviour has led to millions more Brits preparing to bank online and on mobile apps rather than going into their local branches.

Lloyds Bank has also been involved in the wave of closures that has hit the UK, with the popular bank closing 15 branches alone this month. The 61 branches scheduled to close this year are part of parent company Lloyds Banking Group, which also owns Halifax and Bank of Scotland, and it plans to reduce its entire network by nearly 300 by March 2026.

Lloyds Bank customers who lose their local branches will still be able to use banking services in a Halifax or Bank of Scotland. The company also provides services including Community Bankers, Banking Hubs, and Deposit Services.

A Lloyds Banking Group spokesperson said: “The way people are banking has changed, with over 21 million customers choosing our apps to manage their money.

“We’re providing more choice than ever before, bringing together the best in digital convenience with our people.

“Alongside our app, our customers can use any Lloyds, Halifax or Bank of Scotland branch, the Post Office or Banking Hubs for their everyday banking, and deposit cash at over 30,000 PayPoint locations.”

The bank has branches scheduled to permanently shut down next month. However, closures will proceed in January 2026, with the first one being in Totnes and set to shut its doors on January 8.
