Novak Djokovic made a surprise cameo at the Lusail International Circuit ahead of this weekend’s Qatar Grand Prix. It could be a title decider, with Lando Norris on the verge of claiming the honours for the very first time. He only needs to outscore Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen by two points to guarantee top spot in the Drivers’ Championship standings.
Many races are attended by high-profile celebrities and the upcoming event in Qatar is likely to be no different. Djokovic got the ball rolling with a surprise cameo on Thursday, with the tennis star among the famous faces in the paddock. He was spotted mingling with different members of the F1 community, including Alpine driver Franco Colapinto.
The reason for Djokovic’s presence was an unusual one, with the 38-year-old leading a wellness session on the pit straight at the Lusail International Circuit.
Standing on a podium, Djokovic was joined by a number of participants for a light workout. He also presented his Regenesis wellness capsule concept, designed enhance physical recovery and optimise performance for athletes and individuals alike.
The tennis legend is expected to stick around to watch the action over the weekend, having ended his season following the Six Kings Slam earlier this month.
