Luke Littler behind-scenes moment with girlfriend sums darts star up | Other | Sport
Luke Littler etched his name into the history books once more as the 18-year-old secured his second PDC World Darts Championship with a commanding 7-1 demolition of Gian van Veen.
The prodigy’s third outing in the tournament resulted in a third consecutive final spot, highlighting his extraordinary dominance at such an early stage of his career. Given the teenager’s rapid ascent to stardom through his exceptional performances against seasoned competitors many years his senior, robust support networks have proven essential.
His parents have provided consistent guidance at every match, accompanied by the unwavering backing of close friends and family members. Social media personality and ‘King of the Jungle’ Angry Ginge was spotted throughout another remarkable championship campaign, offering vocal encouragement from Littler’s corner.
He was joined by the world No.1’s girlfriend, Faith Miller, who has been a regular presence during various stages of the competition. These familiar supporters were visible among the Ally Pally audience – revelling in the victory – while also enjoying private moments to congratulate the two-time champion away from the cameras.
Littler’s entourage were filmed demonstrating their enthusiasm around their organised celebration area, in a post on Instagram, greeting the champion with rousing chants of: “Championes, championes, ole, ole ole.”
His girlfriend, Faith, was the first to rush over and congratulate Littler, with a hug and a kiss, while the champion was also seen wiping a tear off her face. It demonstrates unwavering support surrounding the darting prodigy, which has proved crucial during his meteoric ascent.
Obstacles have emerged throughout his journey on the global stage, from his explosive debut in 2024 – when the spotlight intensely focused on him – to his latest victory in 2026, where critics eagerly await his downfall. The teenager’s maiden final appearance saw him fall to Luke Humphries, yet it foreshadowed greater things as he sought to cement his position.
Littler’s victory over Michael van Gerwen in 2025 paved the way for a remarkable year during in he continued to dominate multiple tournaments. One clear goal remained, however, which was to secure his status as world champion once more, an achievement he accomplished in the 2026 edition.
While the final result appeared comfortable, there was a concerning incident when Littler was spotted venting his frustration at spectators during his battle with Rob Cross. Although ‘The Nuke’ emerged victorious, he unleashed his anger at the Ally Pally faithful, declaring he was “not bothered”, while taking a swipe at them regarding the prize money they helped generate.
The backing from those around him undoubtedly proved vital in maintaining his concentration on the job at hand, while the Alexandra Palace crowd appeared to rally behind him once more. “It feels amazing. It’s what dreams are made of,” Littler declared after securing his second World Championship triumph.
“Nothing will ever beat a first world title for anyone in any sport, because that’s the first time you’ve done it. But this was all about retaining it, bringing it back home with me for another 11 or 12 months, and adding my name to the list of players to go back-to-back. It’s a very short list, but I’m on it.”
For van Veen, however, it represented a devastating setback in his maiden appearance at this level of the competition, though it provides a foundation upon which to build. “Not the outcome I wanted, of course,” the newly-crowned Dutch No.1 told journalists following the encounter.
“I said before the game that I wanted to win this title, but first of all I wanted to give Luke a game, because he’s a fantastic player. I wanted it to be close, because I knew if it was close, I’d have a chance. That didn’t happen today.”
This certainly won’t be the final occasion that Littler and van Veen clash on the sport’s grandest platform. With van Veen now ascending into the top-three on the sports’ Order of Merit, he’s also eyeing a Premier League berth and the chance to continue competing alongside the world’s elite.
This sets the stage for another captivating year, as each player aims to disrupt Littler’s reign at the pinnacle.
