Brighton CEO Paul Barber has spoken out on the prospect of midfielder Carlos Baleba leaving for Manchester United.

The 22-year-old continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, as the Red Devils eye a revamp of their midfield.

But Barber set the record straight and confirmed that there had been no concete talks between the clubs.

“No call from Old Trafford,” he said on talkSPORT. “No call from anyone connected to Manchester United. We have no plans or desire to sell Carlos in this window, or in any future window, but we know he’s a talented player and he’s got a lot of options ahead of him in the future.”
