‘High earners’ can get £250 free cash from HSBC with another £500 on top | Personal Finance | Finance

High-earning Britons have just days left to get £750 in free cash as part of an HSBC switching offer. Banks and building societies often launch pushes for new customers after the festive period, laying on favourable deals in the first few months of the year to lure them away from rivals.

The various cash boosts available for switching are a welcome option for Britons increasingly feeling the pinch of cost-of-living pressures, but there are also cash incentives on offer for those on high salaries. For example, those with a yearly salary of at least £100,000 can get £250 by switching to HSBC Premier account. You can claim the cashback offer by opening a Premier account by Monday, February 23, and then switching your bank account and salary of at least £100k using their Current Account Switch Service by April 30, 2026.

Switching doesn’t involve any charges, and those who do also receive complimentary global family travel insurance up to the age of 69.

Additionally, eligible applicants also get access to a digital private GP service at no additional cost, and other benefits.

As well as the £250 cash boost for joining, you can also get a further £500 if you transfer at least £100,000 into savings or investments with the bank and keep your balance for three months, Wales Online reports.

After opening an account before February 23, all qualifying criteria, including three months of maintained balance, needs to have been completed by April 30.

HSBC says the cashback will be paid directly into the Premier account within 70 days of meeting the criteria.

Carl Watchorn, head of Premier proposition at HSBC UK, said: “This offer is our way of rewarding new customers who choose to bring their finances together with us.”

The offer is not open to existing HSBC UK and first direct current account customers, or those who have received an HSBC UK joining incentive since January 1 last year.

You can find the full terms and conditions and eligibility criteria on the bank’s website.
