Olivia Attwood hails new ‘game-changer’ device and uncovers beauty myths in latest podcast episode with Dr.Motox

Olivia Attwood has shared some of the secrets of her extensive beauty routine, including a new device that’s helping her take a less-is-more approach to cosmetic interventions.

The Love Island star has previously admitted regret over undergoing cosmetic surgery in her early 20s and now favours less invasive anti-aging treatments, including injectables like Botox and fillers as well as skincare tech.

In a brand-new episode of her Olivia’s House podcast, she says she is increasingly turning to home treatments like LED therapy – including the Shark Depuffi – to maintain her healthy skin.

“I just want to look the best version of myself at this time,” she says. “That’s where your home tools are really important.”

On the podcast she was joined by aesthetics expert Dr Motox. Together they advocated using the right devices strategically to enhance any professional treatments. If used correctly, they can reduce the overuse of Botox and fillers.

“Professional treatments do the heavy lifting,” Dr Motox says. “At-home devices, like the Shark CryoGlow and the Depuffi, are for maintenance and enhancing long-term skin health.

The key is spacing and choosing the right tool at the right point in your skin cycle.”

Revealing her own preferred device from Shark Beauty, the DePuffi, Olivia adds: “It’s a real game changer. I love how it goes from hot to cold so you can jump between those two settings depending on what you want it for.”

Dr Motox says the key to long-lasting, natural-looking results is allowing your skin to settle and using these carefully in the immediate aftermath of an injectable treatment.

“Injectables are about precision and patience,” the expert says. “Give your skin time to settle, then layer in at-home technology strategically – that’s how you get long-lasting, natural, high-quality results. After Botox or fillers, less is more in the first week.”

After 48 hours, cooling tools such as the Shark DePuffi and the under-eye cooling pads on the Shark CryoGlow can be safely incorporated to reduce swelling, calm inflammation and support fluid drainage, provided no pressure is applied.

“Give it some time to settle – 24-48 hours – any devices that really massage or move things around, I’d give it a week,” he explains. “However, some devices such as your Shark CryoGlow LED mask are incredible.

“Give it about 24 hours and then you can use it because that is going to help reduce some of the redness and inflammation and help healing. So I’d recommend my clients to start using not long after they’ve had their treatment.”

He says gentle devices like the Shark FacialPro Glow can help improve skin quality as part of a long-term strategy that promotes healthier, stronger skin over time.

Ultimately, Olivia and Dr Motox say aesthetics and skin tech don’t need to be confusing – but should be informed.

With so many treatments available and the pressure to stay looking young, it can be easy to overuse injectables, and it’s a trend Olivia has warned about in the past. However, by combining them with LED therapy, the TV star believes she gets the balance right to keep her skin healthy.

Those with specific concerns or questions related to specific health conditions should always consult a medical professional.

To give a more in-depth guide, Dr Motox has shared his top five tips for at-home skincare after injectable treatments.

1. LED therapy is gentle and non-invasive. Use regularly before treatments to ensure the skin is in optimal condition and then reintroduce it again between 48 hours post treatment.

2. Gentle cryotherapy can help reduce swelling, redness, and discomfort after an aesthetic treatment. Just ensure there’s no pressure or massage over freshly treated areas and wait at least 48 hours post-treatment.

3. Once you’re past the 48-hour mark post injectables or filler, cooling devices such as the cooling-under eye pads on the Shark CryoGlow can help reduce swelling and discomfort. Similarly, tools like the Depuffi used on the cold setting only (without massage or pressure) can help manage swelling and fluid retention while the skin settles.

4. Heat can increase blood flow and inflammation, which isn’t ideal immediately after injectables. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, facial steaming, and heated devices for at least 48–72 hours, and longer if you’ve had fillers.

5. When used correctly, and after 7-days post treatment, massage tools can support gentle sculpting, and overall skin quality, helping to enhance and complement your treatment results rather than interfere with them.
