Sports enthusiasts can secure hundreds of pounds towards their summer getaway in a flash sale ending this week. The offer comes from Virgin Media, which is enticing customers to switch from competitors such as Sky and BT by providing £300 travel vouchers to use at Trip.com.
The discount can be applied towards a package holiday and used for flights, hotels or combined flight and hotel packages, but the window to claim the offer is fast closing. The deal is exclusively available to customers registering for Virgin’s Max Volt bundle by midnight on Wednesday, May 13.
Those snapping up the offer can enjoy comprehensive Sky Sports coverage of the crucial Premier League fixtures in this final stretch of the season, plus hundreds more next season across the top flight, EFL, Carabao Cup, WSL and beyond. It also features every Formula 1 race weekend, alongside darts, golf, tennis and rugby.
Beyond hours of sporting action, the Max Volt bundle delivers more than 230 TV channels including Sky Cinema, with a complimentary Netflix subscription and ultra-fast 1,130Mbps fibre broadband. Moreover, the deal features an unlimited O2 SIM card, all for £78.99 per month.
Virgin levies no setup fee to begin, with customers receiving their £300 Trip.com gift card provided they maintain their package for more than 55 days. With an O2 SIM included, customers can take advantage of their unlimited data, minutes, and texts while roaming across 75 destinations at no extra charge, reports Belfast Live. Max Volt customers can also unlock a range of ‘Volt’ benefits when adding an O2 pay monthly plan to their package, including double mobile data on eligible O2 mobile plans and a WiFi guarantee. The latter promises minimum download speeds of 30Mbps or £100 credit back.

There’s a catch to the offer though, as monthly prices for the 24-month Max Volt contract will increase to £85.49 from April 2027 and £91.99 from April 2028. Meanwhile, Sky is also offering free extras, with customers signing up for its £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle now receiving subscriptions to Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu at no extra cost.
Sky claims this is worth around £240 per year and includes 135 TV channels plus nine from Sky Sports. . It’s worth noting neither Virgin nor Sky will broadcast some of this year’s hotly-anticipated heavyweight fights, with the likes of Usyk vs Rico (May 23) and Anthony Joshua vs Kristian Prenga (July 25) airing exclusively on DAZN.
As for Virgin Media, the brand has garnered considerable praise from customers on Trustpilot, one of whom writes: “Great service by very professional, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Easy install as previous Virgin media equipment still in place. Really good wi-fi signal and obviously good support available if needed.”
Another adds: “Great, simple and easy. The engineer was friendly and installed the cable without fuss. My internet has gone from a patchy 12Mb to a solid 500Mb for the same price, plus Netflix.” One reviewer’s experience was less smooth, though they still commended Virgin’s customer service, stating: “Bad start but good customer service response. The onboarding process was terrible, especially the account number and area reference number that I never received, but the customer service saved the day.”
Elsewhere, another five-star review reads: “Seamless switch over from Sky. Professional engineers who turned up on time, polite and work completed quickly and efficiently. Explained how to use the new media well.”
