Viewers claim Netflix’s new number one film about a leading athlete ‘pulls no punches’.
Fans have confessed to experiencing goosebumps after viewing the streaming platform’s latest documentary offering, which has rocketed straight to the summit of the charts.
Released only yesterday (May 12), Untold UK Jamie Vardy has already become the most-watched title amongst subscribers at the time of writing.
It has succeeded in overtaking action thriller Apex, which maintained the top position for the previous three weeks , reports the Mirror.
It is also outstripping other fresh titles, including animated feature Swapped and the uplifting adaptation Remarkably Bright Creatures starring Sally Field and Lewis Pullman.

The new title forms part of the Untold documentary collection on Netflix, which has explored a wide-ranging array of subjects from sporting icons to true crime since its launch in 2021.
That encompasses Caitlyn Jenner, Jake Paul, the Liver King and the Chess cheating scandal amongst others.
Now the series has focused its lens on one of Britain’s most remarkable sporting tales. Forthcoming releases will explore footballer turned Hollywood star Vinnie Jones alongside Liverpool’s astonishing triumph in the 2005 Champions League final.
Leading the way is the documentation of the almost implausible tale in English football. According to its synopsis, record breaker, game changer and mischief‐maker Jamie Vardy’s rise from non-league unknown to Premier League legend is a story that doesn’t just go against the odds – it sticks its boots straight through them (and the corner flag too).
From factory shifts and part-time football to firing 5,000–1 outsiders Leicester City to the Premier League title, Vardy’s journey feels less like a career and more like a footballing miracle.

Featuring previously unseen footage, candid dressing-room anecdotes and interviews with Jamie Vardy, his wife Rebekah, colleagues, bosses and lifelong friends, Untold UK: Jamie Vardy reveals how a youngster from Sheffield shattered records, ripped up convention and ridiculed what’s meant to be achievable in the contemporary game.
This represents football’s quintessential underdog narrative – presented precisely as Vardy experienced it.
Those who have already viewed the production have urged others to watch, with one individual posting online: “Untold UK: Jamie Vardy is a must-watch on Netflix.
