Costco fans rush to buy ‘next level’ kitchen item and ‘won’t go back’

Costco shoppers are reportedly rushing to snap up an everyday kitchen staple from the wholesaler, praising it as “next level” compared to equivalent products available at mainstream supermarkets. Costco Wholesale is something of an adult’s paradise, offering virtually everything one could ever need under a single roof.

While the store is primarily frequented by small and medium-sized businesses, individuals working in certain professions are also eligible to obtain a membership and shop in-store. This means many ordinary families can take advantage of their membership to bulk buy everyday essentials at considerably reduced prices.

An online-only membership is available to anyone in the UK, granting access to petrol stations and the ability to shop online, though it does not permit entry to the physical warehouses.

Alongside stocking well-known branded goods in bulk quantities, Costco also carries its own signature Kirkland range, which goes head-to-head with established brands.

On numerous occasions when Kirkland products have been put to the test against rival items, Costco’s own-brand offerings have come out on top, making them hugely sought-after amongst shoppers.

With this in mind, one Reddit user took to the R/CostcoUK community on the platform to enquire about fellow shoppers’ favourite Kirkland products.

The poster said: “Which Kirkland Signature items are worthwhile buying (non-food items)? I’m looking for items that perform just as well as the branded versions.” The post garnered dozens of responses, with one particular kitchen essential cropping up repeatedly. Shoppers declared they “won’t go back” to the standard supermarket equivalent after sampling the Kirkland brand.

One shopper commented: “Tin Foil. Never going back to the supermarket stuff.”

A second concurred: “The tin foil is next level! I’ve never come across anything like it. It’s like military grade stuff. Feels like they could repair aircraft wings with the stuff.”

A third said: “Tin foil is absolutely top tier. Also the golf balls, if you’re a golfer. Best I’ve ever used.”

A fourth remarked: “Also their tin foil and plastic wrap. I have them in a drawer for easy access. Absolutely fantastic stuff and lasts for literal years.”

Fellow Costco customers also heaped praise upon the quality of Kirkland’s batteries, wet wipes, toilet roll and Christmas wrapping paper.
