Barclays ‘all debit cards’ update over new details being sent out to customers | Personal Finance | Finance

A customer contacted the bank over social media with a question about their bank card. They asked: “My debit card expires 06/26. When am I likely to receive my new card?”

Customers can view their bank cards in the Barclays app. Simply tap on ‘Your cards’ on the home screen, just below your account balance.

Here you can see all the cards you have registered, both Barclays and Barclaycard. You will see the options available to make any changes to your cards here.

In response to the customer, Barclays said: “All debit cards are sent out 5 weeks before the current card expires. It can take up to 7 working days to arrive after it has been sent.”

The bank also invited the customer to send them a direct message about the issue. If you have forgotten your PIN number for your Barclays card, you can view this in the mobile app or through online banking.

Bonus payments

Barclays is currently offering a £200 payment if you switch to a Barclays Bank Account through the Barclays app. You need to complete a full switch and your switch must include at least two direct debits.

You also have to deposit at least £2,000 into the new account. Barclays will text you once you have met all the qualifying criteria, and pay you the £200 within 45 working days.

The payment will go into your new account. The offer is only available to new customer. However, if you already have a Barclaycard, mortgage or savings account with Barclays, you may still qualify.

In this case, you should delete the Barclays app from your device, and then reinstall the app and register as a new customer, to then apply for the account.
