England will reveal their 26-man squad for the World Cup on Friday, with leaks already starting to surface. Thomas Tuchel named a provisional 35-strong group in March for friendlies against Uruguay and Japan, but the German will now have to whittle it down to just 26 names.

There are some givens, of course. Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice can all expect their place on the plane to be assured. However, there will be some waiting nervously by the phone, awaiting a call-up from Tuchel, with the likes of Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Trent Alexander-Arnold at risk of missing out.
