Russian Vladimir Putin issued chilling threats to Latvia and Lithuania as he warned NATO Moscow could launch attacks.

Putin was responding to a question about comments made earlier this month by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys, who said NATO needed to demonstrate that it could penetrate Kaliningrad, the Russian exclave on the Baltic coast.

Putin also addressed a separate question concerning Russian intelligence claims that Ukraine had sent drone operators to Latvia. He reiterated that, in Moscow’s view, any location deemed to pose a threat to Russia is considered a legitimate target.
