All eyes are on the World Cup at the moment but the transfer grind never stops for the Premier League‘s top clubs. Manchester United have already moved to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with that deal expected to be confirmed in the not-too-distant future. They won’t stop there in their pursuit of midfield reinforcements, though, as Michael Carrick looks to shape his squad for the campaign ahead.

United have also been linked with a move for Sandro Tonali, but Tottenham appear to have moved into pole position for the Newcastle playmaker. The north Londoners saw an £80m bid rejected over the weekend and could soon return to the table with an improved offer. Liverpool, meanwhile, are still pushing to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, who is reportedly valued at £87m.
