Bouchard joins forces with ‘No 1 tennis influencer’ after BBC proposal | Tennis | Sport
Rachel Stuhlmann sent her followers into a frenzy after sharing her Wimbledon escapades online. The American content creator has long been dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest tennis influencer’ and, true to her reputation, she made the journey to SW19 this month. As well as watching the likes of Alexander Zverev, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina compete at the All England Club, the 34-year-old caught up with former tennis star Eugenie Bouchard.
The Canadian beauty hung up her racket last year, with her greatest achievement being her runners-up finish at Wimbledon in 2014 when she lost in the final to Petra Kvitova. Since retiring from tennis, Bouchard has turned her attention to the pickleball world while also venturing into broadcasting, making her BBC debut at the Grand Slam this summer.
Boasting over 2.2million followers on Instagram, the 32-year-old also teamed up with Stuhlmann to produce content together, with the pair conducting a drink review of Pimm’s over the weekend. Stuhlmann – who commands over 304,000 followers on the social media platform – has shared a wealth of photographs from her Wimbledon adventure, including a striking snap of herself posing alongside an outdoor court.
She donned a blue top paired with high-waisted white trousers, captioning the post: “Tennis heaven. How lucky am I to be able to do all that I do within the sport I love?” Her comments section was flooded with admiring remarks, with one user writing: “You look like a super model,” while another added: “What a beautiful lady.”
During the changeover, the Brit put the question to Bouchard: “Do you speak Italian?” to which she replied: “I do not but I see a lot going back and forth between Berrettini and his box, which is right behind me. “Unfortunately only English and French I can do for you guys.” Castle fired back: “I don’t know, it’s the Italian we’re looking for Genie.”
Bouchard then cheekily quipped: “Is that it, am I fired?” The commentary box erupted in laughter as Castle declared: “That’s it, thank you for coming, you’re fired.” The former tennis ace rounded things off with: “It was a good run, thank you for having me anyway. I’ll just see myself out.”
