Tiger Woods has shared an exciting update on his new course at the oceanfront Diamante Cabo San Lucas community in Mexico. The Legacy Course is now in its grassing‑in stage and will include custom residences, villas and condominium houses. Designed as an ‘oasis in the desert’, the project has been years in the making and is set to become the most extensive layout among Mexico’s roughly 250 golf courses.
“By bringing together an exclusive Tiger Woods–designed course and a truly limited membership, we are creating the most intimate, personalized golf experience at the highest level in Cabo,” said Ken Jowdy, the CEO and founder of Diamonte Cabo San Lucas and Legacy Properties LLC. “Nowhere else in North America can a member play a world top 100-ranked course, watch PGA Tour professionals compete on their home grounds, and do it all within a private oceanfront residential community.”
Woods, a five‑time winner, says the 1,500‑acre Diamante, the largest golf development in Cabo, will offer ‘tournament‑calibre strategy with an unforgettable visual experience.’ According to Forbes, reports that initial Legacy Club membership fees are set at $300,000 (£223,000), with annual dues expected to be around $60,000 (£44,000).
Taking to Instagram, Woods shared a series of pictures from the Legacy Course and wrote: “I’m pleased to share a first early look at Legacy Course, our newest course design at Diamante. Cabo is a special place and working alongside Ken Jowdy and the Diamante team over the years has been especially rewarding.
“Legacy Course was designed to challenge golfers of every skill level while creating an experience they’ll remember long after the round. From the routing to the strategy and the natural landscape, every detail was carefully considered. I’m proud of what we’ve created together and can’t wait for golfers to experience it in the near future.”
The Legacy Course is expected to open in early 2027.
