Family tension & wedding drama: Ahead of their December 2025 wedding at Bath Abbey, English swimmer Adam Peaty and his then-fiancee, Holly Ramsay, experienced a widely publicised family rift. The event descended into further chaos when a scuffle with photographers broke out outside, involving Holly and her father, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Double-barrelled surname: Following their marriage, the Team GB swimmer officially adopted the name Adam Ramsay-Peaty. He will compete under this new title for the first time at the Commonwealth Games, this year in Glasgow, marking his fourth appearance at the event.

Growing family: The couple announced earlier this year that they are expecting a baby girl in December, news that Adam was “incredibly excited” about. While this is Holly’s first child, the 31-year-old athlete already shares a son, George, with a previous partner.

Prioritising the pool: Adam has asked the public to focus on his athletic performance in Glasgow rather than his personal affairs. Speaking to The Independent, he said: “That’s the beauty of sport. If you can find that state of mind, it’s an incredible place to be… That’s the Adam people should see – the racer. Everything else is my private life.”

Commonwealth Games timetable: Now competing as Adam Ramsay-Peaty, he is scheduled for the 100m breaststroke heats on Friday morning. Should he qualify, the semi-finals will take place Friday evening, followed by the final on Saturday night.

Commonwealth Games achievements: Beyond his Olympic success, the champion swimmer boasts an impressive Commonwealth record, including 100m breaststroke golds in 2014 and 2018, as well as a gold and two silvers in the 50m breaststroke, and a gold and silver in the 4×100 medley.
