Some Chelsea fans have reacted angrily to the signing of Valentin Barco, who has joined the Blues from sister club Strasbourg.

He was, of course, involved in a violent confrontation with England star Jude Bellingham during the World Cup.

A number of Chelsea supporters made their feelings clear in the replies to the official transfer announcement on X (formerly Twitter).

@EDuggan25849 wrote: “Any member of that Argentina national team from the World Cup should not be signed by any English Premier League club!”

@iam_bonface replied: “Argentina again in squad,” alongside a crying emoji, while @marvgoathero added: “After that s*** he pulled at the World Cup…”

@Jeet_chetwani17 said: “Sure he’s going to ‘love’ England after all his World Cup theatrics.”

@markwaterman17 commented: “He’s absolute toilet. If he ever gets a game in the Premier League I can’t wait for him to be hammered.”
