After a wait of more than three years, one of television’s most beloved comedy-dramas is finally making its comeback. Ted Lasso returns to Apple TV+ on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, bringing back the warmth, wit and heart that made the show a global phenomenon when it first aired.
The revival has been a long time coming. When the third season wrapped up in 2023, it was widely understood to be the show’s final chapter. It took until last year for Apple to confirm that AFC Richmond would be back on our screens — news that was met with considerable relief and excitement from fans around the world.
That makes this fourth season feel like something of a bonus. Unexpected, yes, but all the more welcome for it. The show’s return carries a genuine sense of occasion, and judging by the anticipation building online, audiences are very much ready to Believe again.
That said, Season 4 will look noticeably different from what came before. Several familiar faces from the dressing room will not be returning, as the new series shifts its focus away from the AFC Richmond men’s side and turns the spotlight on the club’s women’s team instead. Ted, Beard, Rebecca, Roy Kent and Keeley will all be back, however.
If you’ve been away from Apple TV+ for a while and your subscription has lapsed, there is good news. Apple has launched a seven-day free trial, giving you the chance to revisit all three previous seasons before diving into the new one — all without spending a penny upfront.

There are, of course, plenty of other TV streaming services available around the UK. One of the most prominent and popular is NOW (formerly NOW TV).

Instead of paying £13.99 per month, newcomers to the streamer can grab six months of TV for just £3.99 per month (minimum of six months). And here, you can watch all kinds of blockbuster hits such as Sinners, They Will Kill You, House of the Dragon and plenty more.
Otherwise, there’s Amazon. A Prime membership also gives TV-lovers access to the enormous plethora of shows, including Fallout, The Boys, Invincible, Reacher, Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and plenty more. This, of course, comes with access to Amazon Prime delivery priority, as well as access to Amazon Music.
With that said, these TV services do not offer access to Ted Lasso. And, considering there are so many unanswered questions in the show (like who is Keeley actually going to end up with? Does Ted love Rebecca? Is Beard really married?) this is your last chance to catch up on the show ahead of its release this week.

However, it is worth noting some users reported slow functions at times: “Apple TV has a few good shows such as Slow Horses and Severance but the weekly drop and inadequate User Interface are off-putting. I’m currently on Silo Episode 3 and, after an absence, wish to start again at Ep 1 but there’s no way to do this.”
