Another popular destination to visit in the city is Monte Carlo Opera House. The beautiful theater is part of the Casino de Monte-Carlo complex and is renowned for its classical performances and architectural beauty.
Larvotto Beach is the main public beach in Monaco, offering a scenic spot for relaxation with views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Monte Carlo is synonymous with luxury and high-end living. It is known for its upscale hotels, designer boutiques, and exclusive restaurants.
The area hosts various high-profile events, including the Monte-Carlo Rally and the annual Monte-Carlo TV Festival.
The district is characterised by its elegant Belle Époque buildings, modern high-rises, and stunning seaside views.
The city’s development as a luxury destination began in the 19th century, driven by the establishment of the casino and the subsequent influx of wealthy visitors.
Monte Carlo is well-connected by rail, road, and air. The Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is the nearest major airport, approximately 18 miles (30 km) away. The Monte Carlo train station connects the district with other parts of Europe.
A direct flight from London to Nice on September 8 comes around to £88.
One of the travellers wrote on the TripAdvisor forum: “Really lovely beach, nice and clean, not too big, but very lively. Plenty of little shops and places to eat right there, so could spend the whole day there if you wanted to. One downside was the poisonous jelly fish presence, so need to be careful when swimming – it stings badly.”
A second user said: “We were looking for a scenic place for our wedding ceremony, after learning our hotel couldn’t accommodate us. Larvotto Beach is a public beach with pristine white sand and all the elegance of Monaco.”
