Andrea Bocelli debuts reimagined classic as new duet in emotional music video | Music | Entertainment

As Andrea Bocelli gears up to launch his new album Duets, the Italian maestro has been teasing some of his collaborations that feature on the record.

Following the first single with Shania Twain, the 65-year-old has now launched the latest, a team-up with Karol G.

In a new music video, the pair perform a new rendition of Vivo per lei, which Bocelli topped the charts with back in 1995.

The reimagining is its Spanish version called Vivo por Ella, which was originally sung by Marta Sánchez.

Speaking about his collaboration with KAROL G, Andrea Bocelli said: “This song holds a very special place in my heart, and it’s a great honour to reimagine it with one of the most talented and exciting new artists in the world, Karol G. Her beautiful voice helps create a timeless celebration of love and music that will find new fans and resonate across generations.”

Karol G added: “I discovered Andrea when I was a teenager. I was super connected to his music, the power of his voice and his unique way of creating music. This song is a huge honour for me – it’s a song I’ve always loved, and when I was invited to sing ‘Vivo por Ella’ it felt like coming home. It’s a song I really feel inside myself, it feels like it’s going to be a special point in my career.”

Andrea Bocelli’s new album Duets, which includes collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, Dua Lipa and Sarah Brightman, is out on October 25.
