Andrew Neil savages ‘stupid’ White House after post of Trump | World | News

Andrew Neil took to X where he criticised the White House for a recent social media post. The image shows a picture of Donald Trump with a penguin which is holding the American flag. In the distance, is the Greenland flag – the caption reads “Embrance the penguin.”

On X, Andrew Neil wrote: “The stupidity of this White House sometimes knows no bounds. There are no Penguins in Greenland or the Arctic. Don’t they remember that Happy Feet was based in Antarctica?” The post comes after Donald Trump claims to have hashed out the “framework” of a future deal on Greenland following weeks of threats to annex the Danish territory.

Trump emerged from talks with NATO secretary general Mark Rutte on Wednesday confident that a deal was in sight and that all parties were happy with it.

Denmark said it was open to dialogue so long as its borders are respected – but have notably not endorsed any aspects of the agreement briefed to the media or discussed publicly by Mr Rutte.

The PMQs on Wednesday 21 centered around the issue, Starmer reiterated his stance on the future of Greenland and said Trump’s threats to impose tariffs on countries that oppose him are “completely wrong.”

“I will not yield. Britain will not yield on our principles and values about the future of Greenland under threats of tariffs,” he says.

He also says the prime minister of Denmark visited the UK for bilateral talks.

Helen Whately, part of Kemi Badenoch’s shadow cabinet, said that while the Conservatives agree on the need to stand firm on Greenland, Keir Starmer was wrong to “give away an important national security asset” – referring to the Chagos Islands.
