Are you likely to have a football fan fail – Take the quiz to find out…

Are you a ‘true’ football enthusiast or just a casual observer? Take this quiz to find out…

From your viewing habits to your and participation in fantasy football leagues – respond to these queries and determine whether you’re a hardcore supporter or simply a bystander.

The quiz comes as studies have shown that one in three football fans are so fervent about the game that they’ve drenched themselves in beer, torn their clothes, and even shattered their mobile phones.

Moreover, 36% confessed to experiencing a football-related blunder while celebrating a scored goal.

The research was conducted by technology company HONOR, which went as far as bubble-wrapping an entire bar in central Barcelona for spectators of the Barcelona v Bayern Munich match all in an effort to prevent any unfortunate incidents.

A representative for the brand commented: “Football fans are arguably the heart and soul of the game, and their passion, dedication, and unwavering support can create an atmosphere unlike any other, both in the stadium and beyond.

“Whether cheering from the stands or watching from home, fans fuel the excitement, making every match a spectacle of unity, pride, and love for the sport.

“However, our research shows that this passion can sometimes lead to all sorts of funny mishaps often involving personal belongings.”

A survey of over 1,000 football enthusiasts revealed that top blunders include dousing themselves with a full drink (12%), tearing a beloved piece of clothing (8%), and cracking their phone screen (7%).

Over four in ten (41%) confess to frequently getting swept up in the thrill during a football match. However, 64% argue that these mishaps were entirely justified for the joy of witnessing a goal being scored.

According to data from OnePoll.com, one in ten have even tossed their phone into the air.

A spokesperson for Honor, who commissioned the study to promote its new Magic V3, commented: “Despite these football fails, it appears fans believe it’s all worthwhile in the end to see their favourite team score a goal.

“Nothing can surpass the roar of the crowd and the exhilaration of seeing the ball strike the back of the net. It’s a rush of adrenaline and pride that lingers long after the match concludes and is what makes football the beautiful game that it is.”
