Beauty box worth over £245 to help shoppers ‘sleep better’
Getting enough restful sleep is important for staying healthy and fighting those winter blues, which is why putting together a bedtime routine is a good New Year’s resolution. The OK! Beauty Box editors have curated a limited edition box filled with goodies to help you get your beauty sleep, and it’s packed with nine goodies including skincare, sleep accessories and home fragrance worth over £245.
The Limited Edition Sleep Better Box costs £60, and contains nine full-size products from popular wellbeing brands like Neom, Aromatherapy Associates and Purscents. There are skincare products, sleep mists, an eye mask and even pillowcases, which would collectively cost over £245 if bought on their own. This means that the box can save shoppers around 75% on the total value of its contents.
Starting with skincare, the Sleep Better box contains a 50ml tube of Avant Skincare’s Moisture Surge Overnight Treatment, which normally retails for £85. It’s a rich mask formulated with shea butter and sweet almond oil, which is meant to be used overnight to deeply moisturise the skin. The brand claims it can help skin appear tighter, lessen the appearance of fine lines, and help protect it from UVA and UVB lines.
This is the most expensive product in the collection, and even though it’s on sale on Avant’s website, getting it through the box is still better value as its sale price is £59, nearly identical to the set’s £60 price tag, which gets you eight more products.
There is also a bath and shower oil from Aromatherapy Associates, which is normally worth £58. It comes in the Support Breathe scent, which is a blend of eucalyptus, tea tree and pine essential oils that can help add a luxurious touch to your bedtime ritual, while opening up the airways before bed.
For another touch of aromatherapy, the bundle also includes a scented candle made with cedarwood, lavender, lemon, and ylang ylang essential oils, which you can burn during your bath. It’s made from a coconut wax blend and promises 20 hours of burn time.
If you tend to wake up with puffy eyes, the box contains a warming eye mask from Beauty Pro, infused with soothing chamomile. This mask claims its warming effect can calm puffiness and help tired eyes feel more rested.
To supercharge your space and prepare it for sleep, the OK! Beauty Box editors have also included two sleep mists in the selection.
One is the Perfect Night’s Sleep pillow mist from Neom, which the brand says “smells like freshly cut lavender”. It contains a blend of 12 essential oils including lavender, patchouli and chamomile, and can be sprayed directly on your pillow to help you drift off to sleep.
The second is the Downtime Sleepy Mist from independent skincare brand Disciple London. This one can be sprayed on the face instead on your pillow, and it’s infused with lavender, oat silk and aloe to nourish skin. The mist is currently sold out at other beauty retailers so the box is a good chance to try it.
Going beyond the face, there’s also a pulse point rollerball from Gruum, which blends chamomile, lavender and sweet almond oil. it can be used on pulse points like the wrists or temples to relax and calm you throughout the day.
The best part of this bundle are the accessories it comes with: a satin sleep mask and a pair of satin pillowcases to help you get the best out of your sleep. According to the experts behind this box, the mask will block out light to ensure a better sleep with less interruptions. At the same time, the soft pillowcases promise to be gentle on the skin, while also limiting hair frizz and breakage.
Shoppers who grabbed the Sleep Better Box are praising the selection of products, with many saying they have helped improve their sleep. One said: “Honestly what a wonderful box , I suffer from insomnia and this really has helped me with a good nights sleep at last.”
Another wrote: “This is my second purchase of this box. The Neom pillow spray is a favourite of mine. The satin pillow cases are fab for skin and hair! The candle is a very sleep inducing scent. I love the bath/shower oil so much! I have struggled with irregular sleep patterns since stating menopause. These products are great.”
A third review read: “This is such a beautiful box to receive—there’s something truly special about bedtime rituals, from the soothing scent of the pillow spray to the softness of the silk pillowcase. It feels like a comforting hug of nighttime self-care. I absolutely love it!”
One shopper knocked a star off their review, saying they “loved the contents” but were not happy with the pillowcases. They said: “Unfortunately disappointed in the pillowcases which are satin and not silk and are not made from natural materials, so don’t give you the skin and hair moisturising benefits of real silk.”
Shoppers should keep this in mind if synthetic materials are a dealbreaker.
