Beauty doctor’s five top tips to achieve younger skin without any injections

Beauty lovers are always trying to find the best new ways to achieve younger-looking skin and often turning to cosmetic surgeries such as getting Botox to achieve this.

According to GOV.UK, an estimated 900,000 Botox injections are carried out in the UK each year.

However, an aesthetic doctor and beauty expert has revealed the five things she does every day to ensure her skin always looks its best without getting any comestic surgeries.

Dr Keyana Emamian, a general practitioner and an aesthetic, skin and hair specialist at Este Medical Group, has spent almost two decades in the beauty industry, and now she is sharing the secrets of her own daily routine that everyone can follow at home with ease.

She shared: “Many of us have our own skincare needs, goals and routines depending on our skin types, but there are a few things that we can all do to achieve healthier complexions.”

1) Cleansing each day

Most of us are guilty of not cleansing each day. It is esstential to use a facial cleanser to scrub away dead skin cells, oil, dirt, makeup, and other pollutants from your skin which help keep your pores clear and ward off skin conditions like acne.

Emamian shared: “Cleansing each day is very important to remove any impurities and let your skin breathe. I never go to sleep with makeup on, I always make sure I use a gentle cleanser before I go to bed.”

2) Moisturising your skin

Moisturizering can help plump skin, making wrinkles and lines less visible and esstentially create younger looking skin. This also helps drom dryness which rapidly increases tight skin creating fine lines and wrinkles.

The expert shared: “Moisturising your skin is also essential each day to maintain its protective barrier to reduce water loss and keep pollutants out, and it’s something I consider a very important part of my routine.”

3) Sunscreen

Emamian revealed: “I think sunscreen should be an important part of everyone’s skincare routines, especially during the summer months, and I never leave home without it. The SPF should be at least 30 and reapplied every three to four hours.”

Sunscreen helps to fight against sunburn, skin cancer and premature aging, however, to obtain a younger look, beauty lovers must avoid sunbathing and fake tanning as this also speeds up ageing.

4) Drinking water

Water not only keeps your body hydrated and rejuvenated, but it also helps to maintain the elasticity of your skin which makes you look younger.

She shared: “What we put in our bodies has a real impact on our skin, so I ensure I drink at least two litres of water per day and follow a healthy diet.”

5) Sleep

“And finally, getting enough sleep is hugely beneficial for our skin, encouraging proper blood flow and allowing skin cells to regenerate. I always try to get at least seven hours of sleep per day.”

On top of the five things she does each day to ensure her skin looks its best, the expert has another key tip for beauty lovers who want maximum results.

She added: “Exfoliating the skin is an important part of a healthy complexion as it helps remove dead skin cells and impurities and give you brighter and smoother skin.

“I do it at least once or twice a week and I consider it a very important part of my skincare routine.”
