‘Biggest ever’ bank account switch with £400 free cash ends in six days | Personal Finance | Finance

Just six days remain to secure a bank account switching offer that provides a £400 bonus alongside additional benefits, including an Apple TV+ subscription. Barclays is currently promoting this deal for people transferring to its Premier Current Account.

However, time is running short to capitalise on this opportunity, as the offer expires on November 27. Various requirements must also be satisfied by customers.

Financial expert Martin Lewis highlighted the deal on his ITV programme earlier this week, describing it as the “biggest ever deal”.

Barclays outlined that customers must initially set up an account through the Barclays app. Subsequently, they must utilise the app to execute a complete current account transfer, incorporating a minimum of two Direct Debits, via The Current Account Switch Service (CASS).

Following this, a deposit of no less than £4,000 must be made into the new account. Applicants must also deposit a gross annual salary of £75,000 into the account, or maintain at least £100,000 in savings with the bank, in qualifying investments, or a combination of both. They must also be 18 years or older and a UK resident.

Barclays said: “We’ll pay £400 into your new account within 28 working days of you meeting the eligibility requirements. You’ll get an SMS notification once you have reached the eligibility criteria.

“The payment will appear on your statement as ‘Switch Reward’. The CASS offer can only be used once per person.”

The account also offers exclusive rates on savings and mortgages, as well as investment options. In addition to the Apple TV+ subscription, account holders are privy to early-access tickets and exclusive events.
