Boots fans rush to buy £10 Elizabeth Arden hand cream for dry skin

We care a lot about our face and body but often overlook our hard-working hands. Taking that extra bit of time to nourish them can make a whole lot of difference.

Thankfully, Boots has dropped prices on over 60 skincare and bodycare products – including Elizabeth Arden’s famous Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment.

Reduced from £28 to just £10, the 75ml full-size hand cream has been dubbed the “best hand cream ever tried” by many five-star reviewers. With the award-winning formula of the Original Eight Hour Cream, the advanced skincare solution “intensely hydrates your skin and seals in moisture” as the soothing lavender scent helps to soothe the senses.

The non-greasy hand ceam works to smooth rough and weather-exposed skin while reversing signs of dryness and leave their hands soft once more.

A long-time Elizabeth Arden fan said: “I’ve used this for over thirty years, it’s simply the best go to for uber dry skin. Helps heal scars too. A little goes a long way!”

Another said the Boots deal could be “the lowest price ever”, adding: “£10 for Elizabeth Arden hand cream is unreal. It’s a thicker cream. I have dry and eczema prone skin. I actually had a flare up not long after I bought this. I thought I’d try this rather than my steroid cream. It worked wonders. Made my eczema die down within a few days.”

A third shared her thoughts: “I have tried hand creams from many different brands – some expensive, some budget. But this cream really does what it says and it doesn’t leave any grease marks on my phone. It’s absorbed well and quickly hydrates my hands.”

But some were put off by the scent as a shopper mentioned: “The texture is nice but it smells like oregano. Really. And strong. Couldn’t wait to wash it off.”

A second added: “Makes my hands soft, improves my nails, removes chapping I often get even in summer. However, I haven’t given five stars as it smells horrendous, somewhere between herbal rosemary and cats (which I love, but can sometimes smell terrible!) I will buy it in future, but only using when staying home.”

L’Occitane’s Almond Delicious Hands, £19 for 75ml, smells exactly as what it says – a sweet almond scent and a silky-smooth cream that helps to nourish and soften the hand.

If you’re after more fragranced options, you might want to try the Byredo Gypsy Water Hand Cream, £30, or Diptyque’s the Art of Hand Care travel set, £42, which includes a hand wash, hand lotion and rinse-free hand wash.
