Boots fans snap up Clarins anti-ageing serum for less than half price
There has been a huge hype about French skincare and beauty fans are always on the hunt to look for new launches at pharmacies on the Parisien streets. But some of the skincare classics are not to be missed and we are talking about Clarins’ hero product, the Double Serum for eyes.
Shoppers won’t have to go all the way to France for this as Boots has launched an exclusive gift set including a full-size Double Serum Eye worth £59 alone. The Clarins Double Serum Blockbuster set itself costs £55 – apart from the serum, it also contains a Gentle Renewing Cleanser 150ml and trial size of the Beauty Flash Balm 30ml.
As part of the offer, each item works out at around £18.33 each, making it cheaper to buy the set than the eye serum individually. However, if you did just want the eye serum, that’s currently on offer at Amazon for £48.
The Clarins Double Serum Eye 20ml was launched off the back of the brand’s number one bestselling face Double Serum, and has racked up thousands of reviews from customers who say it’s keeping their face “free of wrinkles”. It’s designed to intensely nourish, smooth and firm the skin, while depuffing and visibly reducing dark circles in “just seven days”, according to the brand.
The product has garnered a rating of 4.4, with nearly 4,000 reviews on the Boots website being five stars. One customer remarked: “Great product. I have been using it for two months and have noticed a difference. Friends ask what I am doing and have commented about looking younger”, reported the Mirror.
Another chimed in: “I have used both Double serums (face and eye) for years. I am always being complimented on my skin , how youthful I look and my lack of wrinkles. It feels very refreshing on application and makes an excellent base for any makeup that I wear. I do sometimes add moisturiser but not often.”
However, some customers expressed dissatisfaction with the packaging, commenting: “I really like this serum. It is essential for my eye wrinkles and the effect is obvious. The only drawback is the pump which is somehow not working smoothly. Still my favourite though!”
With Christmas approaching, it’s the perfect time to consider gifts. This set would not only make a spectacular gift that appears more expensive than it is, but it could also be split into three separate presents. Alternatively, you could keep the Double Serum Eye for yourself, and give the two ‘freebies’ as gifts over the festive season.
Boots is currently offering a free Clinique gift worth £95 when customers spend £60 on selected products. Meanwhile, at Marks and Spencer, shoppers can get more than £100 worth of skincare for £40.
The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Spa Collection, valued at £102, includes six Emma Hardie bestsellers for a complete skincare routine, including cleansing balm, hydrating facial mists and hand creams – ideal for those who enjoy a bit of pampering.
Alternatively, the Clarins Double Serum Blockbuster set is available at Boots for £55.
