Casper Ruud shows true colours with incredible presents for sisters | Tennis | Sport
Tennis ace Casper Ruud has reportedly gifted his two younger sisters a penthouse flat each as an early Christmas present. The 26 year old Norwegian star is said to have transferred the properties to his siblings free of charge.
According to Norwegian news outlet Nettavisen, Ruud purchased the apartments in 2021 and 2024 respectively. The ATP world number 12 has used his earnings from tennis to invest in various properties.
Over his career, he has amassed total prize money of $26,128,848 (£19,743,741). He is also likely to have additional income from potential sponsorship and commercial deals.
Ruud is reported to have paid fees of NOK 5.2million (£390,000) and NOK 6.45million (£480,000) for the two apartments, which adds up to a combined total worth a staggering £870k. Documents are now said to show them transferred to his sisters, 25-year-old Caroline and 19-year-old Charlotte.
The younger sister, Charlotte, is aiming to follow in her brother’s and father’s footsteps by making a name for herself in tennis. She is currently part of the Rafael Nadal Academy and has participated in Futures tournaments.
Caroline, on the other hand, is active on social media where she shares fitness, lifestyle and travel content with her followers.
Ruud was last seen in action back in October in the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris. He lost against German Daniel Altmaier in straight sets at the round of 32 stage.
Despite reaching the final of two French Opens and a US Open, he is yet to clinch a Grand Slam title. He was defeated by Rafael Nadal at the 2022 French Open, Carlos Alcaraz at the 2022 US Open, and Novak Djokovic at the 2023 French Open.
He was notably absent from Wimbledon this year due to an injury sustained during the French Open. Later, he revealed that his fiancee Maria Galligani’s pregnancy was the real reason behind his absence.
“Let’s just say I didn’t play Wimbledon this year, and it was time to do something different,” he shared. “So we got something special coming this year, yeah.
“I have to say, yeah (laughing). Did some off-court work, and we’re ready for next year, an exciting next year. That’s why I didn’t go to Wimbledon. Everyone wondered.”
