Chinese zodiac: 5 animal signs are the ‘luckiest’ this week
According to Chinese astrology, the Year of the Snake is considered lucky, symbolising rebirth, good luck, and regality.
In 2025, the Year of the Wood Snake, the snake is said to bring opportunities in career, wealth, and personal development, but this doesn’t apply to the 12 animal signs in the same way.
There are 12 animal signs in the Chinese zodiac, each associated with certain characteristics and attributes – five of which are in for a stroke of luck this week.
Siddharth S Kumaar, an astro-numerologist and I Ching Expert, reports on behalf of the Times of India that goats, pigs, and roosters were deemed the “luckiest” from February 23 to March 1.
These five animal signs will experience good luck uniquely and, with the right colours, can further enhance their fortunes.
Goat
The years of the Goat in the Chinese zodiac are 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, and 2015.
The Goat is also known as the Sheep, and people born in those years are known to be gentle, sympathetic, calm, creative, imaginative, sociable, and considerate.
According to Siddharth, goats will experience “great luck this week”, particularly those who engage in friendly competitions and group activities. As for lucky colours, yellow is deemed a lucky charm this week when incorporated into clothing and surroundings.
Pig
The pig is one of the luckiest animals in the Chinese zodiac and is said to symbolise wealth and luck. Pig years in the Chinese zodiac are 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, and 2019.

Siddharth says they are lucky this week, suggesting the pig will find luck in family and home settings. Wearing blue or injecting it into the pig’s surroundings will act as a talisman, enhancing its luck this week.

People born in Rooster years who engage in physical and strategic activities are also considered lucky this week.

Ox
Those born in Ox years (1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, and 2021) are known for being strong and hardworking.
They also tend to be honest and practical, which can lead to success in all walks of life. This week, financial success is on the cards for the Ox, with ongoing efforts and perseverance beginning to pay off.
This is an ideal time to make thoughtful investments and plan future goals, but Siddharth warned that maintaining a diligent and patient outlook is essential to reap financial rewards in the future.
Rabbit
The years of the Rabbit in the Chinese zodiac are 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, and 2023. The next Year of the Rabbit will be in 2035.
Some say that people born in the Year of the Rabbit are charming and have a sunny outlook, and there’s no doubt they will this week when luck strikes. Siddarth said: “Rabbits will experience transformative energy in both their financial and personal lives this week.”
Unexpected financial opportunities may be part of this, but rabbits have been warned to be mindful of others trying to take advantage of their success.
Staying focused and channelling energy into personal growth are worthwhile for people born in rabbit years this week.
