Netflix has welcomed a legendary 1980s comedy featuring two of cinema’s most celebrated names.
While it may only boast a modest 43 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the picture has cemented itself as a cherished and side-splitting cult favourite, largely due to the electric dynamic between its leading duo and the film’s wonderfully absurd concept.
Directed by Ghostbusters’ Ivan Reitman, Twins pairs Arnold Schwarzenegger with Danny DeVito as fraternal twin brothers Julius and Vincent, separated at birth in extraordinary circumstances.
Born from a scientific endeavour to engineer the ideal human specimen, the physically impressive Julius is sent to be nurtured by intellectuals, whilst his unknown sibling Vincent grows into a street-smart drifter in Los Angeles.

Landing on Netflix from Wednesday, 14th January, film enthusiasts are urging viewers to disregard the critics’ verdicts and embrace this wonderfully peculiar, comedy gem that emerged as one of the decade’s most unexpected box office triumphs.
One glowing 10/10 IMDb reviewer described Twins as “a fantastic film that you can watch over and over”.
They added: “Twins is a cinematic treat with a universal, classic, and timeless appeal. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito are at their best here. In fact, all parties concerned pull together for a harmonious production that is very entertaining and holds up to repeated viewings.
