Disney+ and Hulu’s new surreal comedy movie with a Stranger Things icon has been hailed as one of the best films of 2026 just hours after its release.
The new stoner comedy Pizza Movie was dropped on the streaming services worldwide yesterday (Friday, 3rd April) and has already amassed a passionate cult following.
Gaten Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone star as Jack and Montgomery, two awkward high school students who struggle to stand out and are bullied by their peers. When they discover a tin of drugs known as M.I.N.T.S., they quickly realise the substance produces erratic and violent hallucinations, rather than the relaxing high they were promised.
Jack and Montgomery find out their terrifying trip can only be diffused by eating pizza and embark on a perilous quest to retrieve some from a delivery robot, the Snackatron 3000.
The cast is packed with comedy icons such as Marcus Scribner (Black-ish), Caleb Hearon (Sweethearts), Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live), and the voices of Bobby Moynihan (SNL) and Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe.

Pizza Movie’s wacky and puerile humour has clearly struck a chord with viewers, as it currently boasts an 82 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and is on its way to becoming a future cult classic.
“I’m not kidding by the way, Pizza Movie rocks, it’s essentially just college roommate humour but you’d be hard pressed to have a bad time watching it,” one fan shared on X.
“It got big laughs out of me which I didn’t expect at all, IT’S GOOD BRO”
Someone else posted: “I’m gonna tell my future kids about the masterpiece that is pizza movie.”

“Best movie I’ve watched in 2026 so far,” a 10/10 IMDb review claimed. “It really gave me a Scott Pilgrim kind of vibe! I am so picky when it comes to movies I swear I can never get into them anymore but this movie had my attention.
“Didn’t bother to check my phone. Very funny and witty, good storyline, AMAZING acting, great quality and graphics. Definitely not what you would expect from the movie title. I came across it and gave it a chance and I’m so happy I did!”
Someone else shared: “I’m finally home so I can watch the best movie of 2026. This movie has the stupidest humour ever but it still makes me laugh lmao.”
And a final rave review declared Pizza Movie is “straight up fun from start to finish”.
