Dog caught getting up to no good on Ring cam with priceless reaction
Do you know what your pooch gets up to when you’re not in the house?
You may think you’re okay to leave your dog alone while you pop out to the shops or go and grab a coffee with a friend for an hour, but one man’s dog was caught in a very naughty act when he checked his Ring indoor camera.
TikToker @priscillabilla shared footage of her dog “destroying his bed” – and he received a telling off “through the camera”. The brief clip showed the dog aggressively ripping the stuffing out of the place where he slept, ensuring the living room was as much of a mess as possible.
After noticing what the pooch was doing, Priscilla’s partner simply said “oi” through the camera – and the dog’s reaction was priceless.
After hearing the owner’s voice, the dog’s head immediately shot up and away from destroying his bed. But eagle-eyed viewers will see he has a piece of the bed’s stuffing in his mouth as he tries to look at the camera innocently, as though he wasn’t doing anything wrong.
With his ears back, looking alarmed, the dog then mulls things over in his mind for a while, confused about how he can hear his owners voice without them being physically in the room with him.
After contemplating the situation for a few seconds, the dog jumped up onto the couch, trying to act as if he’d not been doing anything wrong, and like he was completely innocent.
The video was captioned: “That face was priceless,” and it truly was.
In the comments, people wrote crying with laughter faces in response to the adorable video, as who can resist a dog getting up to mischief?
However, Lords and Labradors have warned that if your dog has exhibited behaviour like this, it could be down to serious reasons.
They explain: “The reason why a dog may resort to chewing their own bed is often either anxiety or boredom. If they’re feeling stressed, anxious or panicked, chewing their bed could be a way of showing you how they’re feeling.”
They share that some dog breeds are more susceptible to these feelings than others, and the behaviour can be related to “separation anxiety”.
“As for boredom, dogs are often known for becoming destructive if they’re full of energy and don’t have any way of releasing it”, the dog experts wrote.
It could also be down to “not having enough walks and being overly stimulated, not having enough dog toys to play with, lacking in proper training or being left alone too long and not being given the attention they need.”
