Drivers can claim £5 free fuel at petrol stations and supermarkets

When you next fill up your petrol tank you can get some of your hard-earned money back thanks to a handy deal that allows you to claim back part of your fuel costs. With petrol prices forever fluctuating and many people still seeing the effects of the cost of living crisis, money-saving site TopCashback is offering a limited-time deal to new members.

The offer allows you to claim £5 cashback the next time you top up your fuel when you spend a minimum of £10. This can be a car, van, motorbike or any other vehicle you wish to save money on when filling up.

All you have to do is buy £10 or more worth of petrol, sign up to TopCashback for free, and send them a photo of your receipt clearly displaying the date and time of purchase, the petrol station name, and the amount of petrol you bought. Remember to ask the cashier or the machine for your receipt and keep it safe until you get a chance to send it over.

Signing up to the money-saving site couldn’t be easier – all you have to do is visit the website here and sign up. This snap and save deal is available at various big-name petrol stations and supermarkets across the UK, including Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Esso, BP, Texaco and Shell.

The timing of this offer coincides with petrol prices finally falling, as we reported earlier this month. The RAC found that unleaded was down by some three pence a litre in June compared to May, while diesel fell by four pence a litre.

The motoring organisation, however, said prices remain too high and do not properly reflect the wholesale price of oil. The RAC also pointed out that prices in England, Wales and Scotland are considerably higher than in Northern Ireland due to there being a lot of competition among petrol retailers.

The TopCashback offer will benefit many people and is running now until July 27. This means you have a couple of days to fill up your tank with more than £10 worth of petrol and claim £5 back. Wowcher is an alternative retailer that often offers deals for car fans, from simple USB fans to nifty bluetooth kits.
