Everyone is saying the same thing as Princess Beatrice breaks royal hiatus at Wimbledon | Royal | News

Princess Beatrice was all smiles today as she stepped out on the ninth day of the Wimbledon tournament in London and royal fans have all been talking about her floral outfit.

The Princess of York looked stunning in a multicoloured floral printed shirt dress by Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier (£2,639) which she paired with Roger Vivier’s Broche Vivier buckle crochet clutch in Raffia (£1,268).

Beatrice was joined by husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who looked dapper in a tan suit, which he paired with a light blue shirt and a burgundy tie.

She styled her hair in a half-up do and kept her make-up natural. Despite the rainy weather, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter appeared to be in high spirits as she watched the tennis championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Royal fans seemed to have approved the princess’s latest style choice for a dress, with many commenting on how “perfect” it is for summer. One user wrote on X: “Lovely summer dress it’s just perfect for Wimbledon.”

Another one noted: “That is a really pretty dress, looks great on her.” While a third one added: “Beautiful dress looks lovely on Bea. Notice how she has it belted nicely and pressed and fitted to perfection, unlike an overseas relative.”

A fourth one wrote: “Beatrice looks so lovely, so elegant and so happy!!” A fifth one said: “Love her dress. So summery!!!”

A sixth one chimed: “Perfect, just perfect.” Lastly, another user wrote: “The detailing up close is really lovely.”

This was one of the few major royal appearances at Wimbledon this summer, as no senior working members of the Firm have attended the tournament so far, with the Princess of Wales’s attendance this weekend still up in the air.

On day eight, the Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael of Kent made an appearance, while Princess Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton attended day four.

Princess Kate, who is patron of the All England Club has presented the Wimbledon trophies for the last eight years, however, this year is different as she undergoes treatment for cancer.

The future Queen has been largely absent from royal engagements this year – she only attended Trooping the Colour in June – after she was diagnosed with a form of cancer in late February.

Kensington Palace has so far not confirmed whether Kate will attend the weekend finals, with a decision expected to be made as late as the morning of the presentation, but it’s understood that the organisers have come up with a backup plan, in case she is unable to do so.

According to the Telegraph, the Duchess of Gloucester has come up as a likely candidate to replace Kate during this weekend.

Birgitte, who is married to Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, is also an avid tennis fan like Kate and has been Honorary President of the Lawn Tennis Association for 25 years.
