Expert reveals when it’s really time to change your coffee machine

Is your coffee machine making a strange sound, taking ages to make a simple cup of coffee or producing a beverage that just doesn’t taste as it normally does?

Chances are it may be time to replace it.

With many UK households owning a coffee machine, coffee is clearly a major part of our daily lives.

Experts at Coffee Friend, a company selling coffee machines and coffee grinders, have revealed the key signs to look for if your coffee machine needs changing.

They suggested changing the machine if your coffee has changed the taste and you no longer enjoy your daily brew.

If your coffee still tastes or smells odd even after you’ve cleaned it, this may be due to residues inside the coffee machine that can change the flavour.

If your coffee tastes a bit metallic or like plastic, it could be that the insides of your machine are breaking.

This should prompt you to change your machine.

A noisy and disruptive machine that takes forever to brew your coffee could also signal that your coffee machine needs changing.

Experts at Coffee Friend said: “If your mornings are spent impatiently waiting for your coffee to drip, it might be time to switch to a faster brewing method – perhaps a bean-to-cup espresso coffee machine?”

Difficulty in cleaning the coffee machine could reveal that your machine is wearing out and that it may be time to replace it with a more user-friendly model.

Switching to an alternative, more sustainable machine could prevent future costs and help your coffee taste more natural.
