Furious Donald Trump calls female reporter ‘Ugly, both inside and out’ | World | News
Donald Trump has blasted a female reporter who he accused of spreading “creepy” rumours about his health. The US President labelled Katie Rogers “ugly” after she co-wrote a piece about how Trump has reduced his public engagements by 39% in his second term compared to his first.
The article for the New York Times found that the President held 1,688 official events between January 20 and November 25 in 2017 but just 1,029 in the same period this year. The piece also claimed that the average start to the President’s day had been pushed back from 10.31am in his first term to 12.08pm in his second. Trump raged on Truth Social on Wednesday morning: “The Creeps at the Failing New York Times are at it again.”
He added: “Radical Left Lunatics in the soon to fold New York Times did a hit piece on me that I am perhaps losing my Energy, despite facts that show the exact opposite.
“They know this is wrong, as is almost every thing that they write about me, including election results, ALL PURPOSELY NEGATIVE. This cheap “RAG” is truly an “ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE.”
The US President then turned his ire on Rogers. He said: “The writer of the story, Katie Rogers, who is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out.
“Despite all of this, I have my highest Poll Numbers, ever, and with record setting investment being made in America, they should only go up.
“There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (“That was aced”) JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now!”
The outburst is the latest degrading comment made to a female journalist, after the President told another last week “quiet, piggy,” after being questioned about his refusal to release the Epstein files.
Donald Trump regularly accused his predecessor Joe Biden of lacking the physical and cognitive health to be American president, throughout his time in office.
However Trump, who became the oldest person ever elected to the White House in 2024 at the age of 78, has been plagued by rumours and speculation about his own health since returning to the presidency.
On several occasions, Trump has been pictured with a dark mark on his hand, which has seemingly had make up applied in an attempt to conceal it.
Some have expressed concern that the marks could be the result of an ongoing serious health condition or severe bruising caused by medical treatment.
