H&M coat channels Claudia Winkleman’s The Traitors £800 look

The Traitors’ latest season is in full swing, and episode after episode, we are being treated to stylish winter looks from host Claudia Winkleman. Last week, she wore a Brora coat that has been so popular with shoppers, it has already sold out in all sizes, despite its price tag of £745. However, not only have we found a high-street coat that looks similar and evokes the same checked aesthetic, but it’s also substantially cheaper.

The Harris Tweed Check Coat is crafted from 100% virgin wool, featuring a classic green check pattern and a slim, tailored fit, reports the Liverpool Echo. This is the second Brora coat Claudia has worn on the show, after a brown Merino wool design she was seen wearing in a previous episode.

But we spotted the single-breasted coat from H&M, which makes a pretty good tribute to the Brora coat, and it’s currently on sale for £52, down from £74.99. There are three colourways, but the dark grey checked pattern more closely channels Claudia’s coat. At the time of writing, it’s available in sizes XXS to L.

The calf-length coat has a similar design to the Brora one, characterised by a slim, straight silhouette and a back vent. It also features shoulder pads and welt pockets, which give it a sleek, tailored appearance.

It’s a great investment, as it’s versatile enough to be layered over your trusty jeans and a cardigan for a cosy winter outfit, or paired with trousers and a blouse for a smart office look.

The only downside to the H&M coat is that it is made from synthetic fabric, so it might not be suitable for shoppers who prefer natural fibres.
