‘I went to Clarkson’s farm shop – you should bring a pen’

The summer is here and everyone is looking for the perfect day out to spend their time.

Farms can be a great option for all ages. They offer fresh air, interactions with adorable animals and serene scenic views for those looking to escape their lives.

There are around 400 rural attractions in the UK — but for Jeremy Clarkson fans there’s only one option. The Diddly Squat Farm, was bought by the Top Gear star all the way back in 2008 and supposedly cost Jeremy £6 million.

But now, thanks to the success of the TV star’s series Clarkson’s Farm, it has become a must-go for fans during the summer. But one such visitor, named Lucy Rose, has warned fans about one thing she forgot to pack before attending so that they don’t miss out.

The social media user, who posts online as @xxlucyrose, told fans to bring a pen so they could sign the visitor’s wall. In the video, which has gained more than 2,100 views, she explained: “We got there and there was a big queue, which I was expecting anyway.

“They had the food around the corner, so my boyfriend stayed in the queue while we explored. Bring a pen. By the way guys, I didn’t know about this but you can sign the wall. The food and drink were okay. Price – it wasn’t too bad but the cider was lovely.

“Guys, you should definitely try it. They do ice cream as well. They actually ran out of food at around two but it was fine. We weren’t really interested in eating. You can see all the fields when you’re lining up, which is quite nice to see.

“After about an hour and a half, we were outside of the shop. They had some fresh strawberries at the front and then you could also get some milk. This is what the farm shop looks like.

“It is really small and you can see some of the prices on the shelves. It was quite expensive, but they had so much variety. They had meats, drinks, sweets, cheeses, pork pies chutneys, jams, loads of crates of like cider. They were really popular.”

She rounded off the clip, praising the “lovely staff” and saying the visit was a “really good day out”. TikTok users were stunned by the shop and took to the comments wanting to visit for themselves.

One user said: “Oh my was it good!!! I want to go,” while another commented: “Omg the queues.” A third added: “Wow, so busy.”
