Illegal migrant kids murder homeless man to steal his skeleton mask | World | News

A homeless man was stabbed to death after illegal migrant teenagers allegedly ambushed him on Sunday morning. Wuinayker Rodriguez-Vasquez, 16, and two unnamed 14-year-olds have been charged in connection with the fatal attack of Bradley Obeirne, 49, in front of his cat, according to police. The horrific incident took place in the Loop area of Chicago at around 5.45am. The Venezuelan teenagers allegedly saw the homeless man outside of a restaurant with a shopping cart of his belongings, including his cat and a skeleton mask.

CCTV footage reportedly shows one of the 14-year-old’s hitting Mr Obeirne with a metal rod, while the others ran up to him and stole his mask. According to local police, other members of the group ran away, yet Rodriguez-Vasquez turned around and kicked the man, which turned into a fight on the street. At this point, the 16-year-old allegedly pulled a knife from his sleeve and stabbed the victim in the back, leaving him to bleed out on the pavement.

Prosecutors claim that a video after the attack shows Rodriguez-Vasquez showing the knife on a train and making stabbing motions while wearing the stolen mask. 

Samuel Alvarado Moreno, 23, was also allegedly part of their group and has been charged with a felony count of criminal damage to property.

Prosecutors say that Mr Obeirne was lying helpless in the street for a while after being stabbed, before a passerby called the emergency services. 

Police say they found a bike at the scene of the crime that one of the attackers used. Mr Obeirne’s cat was also given to Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Surveillance cameras picked up the suspects which led to their arrest as they were wearing the same clothes as when the attack took place. 

Rodriguez-Vasquez was allegedly found with the knife on him, and is now facing first-degree murder charges and will be tried as an adult. According to officials, he is a Venezuelan national who has been living in Chicago for two years. 

The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News that he is believed to have illegally entered the US in September 2023 in Texas, and was documented as an ‘alien inadmissibility’ case – an individual not allowed to enter or stay in the US. 

The two 14-year-olds are set to face juvenile court. The one that stole the victim’s mask will reportedly be charged with robbery, and the other with first-degree murder. 

Officials claim the suspects did not know the victim.
