‘I’m a TV nerd and there’s a psychological thriller you need to watch’
Netflix users have been urged to watch the “biggest hidden gem” on the streaming platform before it’s removed.
Film enthusiast Eccy Reviews, who provides the latest television and cinema updates on his social media accounts, is encouraging viewers to watch Mirage.
He stated: “So if you’re looking for something to watch and you’re sick of endlessly scrolling through Netflix, I have found one of the biggest hidden gems that hardly anyone has heard of – and it’s literally been sat there for years. I’m talking about is called Mirage.
“Like I said, I’d be surprised if you’ve heard of it – and even more surprised if you’ve actually seen it. It’s a psychological thriller that everyone needs to check out.”
The 2018 film centres on Vera, a mother-of-one, as she communicates with the spirit of a child and saves his life. However, her intervention triggers a space-time continuum anomaly, transforming reality.
Eccy continued: “It’s honestly one of the most shocking psychological thrillers I’ve come across on Netflix, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you’re seriously missing out. So make sure to add Mirage to your watchlist and give it a go.”
Featuring Adriana Ugarte, Chino Darín, and Javier Gutiérrez, the film received two Gaudí Awards nominations in 2019.
Responding to his post, one viewer remarked: “OMG! on your recommendation I watched this and it is brilliant even my 14 year old daughter sat up and ended up on the edge of her seat. Thank you for the recommendation. Brilliant!”

“Great cast and very convincing acting, would highly recommend! It’s been the best time travel film I’ve seen in a while.”
Another added: “I have become a huge fan of time travel-ish movies and psychology thriller lately.
“In fact, I would admit that the series “DARK” on Netflix is still my top five Netflix original and you should totally watch it if you haven’t already.
“Anyway, I really enjoyed “Mirage”, I thought it was well written. Well shot and well acted. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. its definitely worth a watch.”
