The International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor said he requested arrest warrants for two top Taliban officials because women’s rights have amounted to “gender persecution” in Afghanistan. Speaking on Sky News’ “The World with Yalda Hakim,” Karim Khan explained that the repression of women had “crossed every threshold” in the country.
