Israel is facing global condemnation after its deadly airstrikes targeting Hamas officials inside Qatar, a key U.S. ally. “I was very unhappy about it,” President Donald Trump said. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is insisting the strike was fully justified because it targeted senior Hamas leaders responsible for the Oct. 7 attacks. According to Hamas officials, the strike killed five members but failed to assassinate senior members. Qatar, meanwhile, is calling the move by Israel “cowardly.” NBC’s Keir Simmons reports for TODAY from Doha.
